The JV Cougars opened the 2017 football season with a convincing 40-22 victory over Waverly.  The Warriors opened the scoring in the 1st quarter with a long TD pass to take a 6-0 lead.  The completion was set up by a blocked Cougar punt giving Waverly excellent field position.  LC responded at the 1:20 mark
