Saturday was Senior Day on the turf field at Lansing Catholic High School. 11 of the 18 seniors were able start the match versus Lansing Everett. Chuck Plaehn started things off early finishing off a long pass from Mike Hollis. The Cougars controlled the play throughout the first half, but then the flood gates opened early in the 2nd half. Grant Cotter slipped one by the Everett goalie after a nice feed from Chuck Plaehn. Minutes later, Cotter returned the favor, finding Chuck Plaehn in front of the box. Plaehn was able to slip it through a crowded box for his second goal of the match. Matthew Plaehn then followed with a fantastic far post header off the corner from Remy Collard. Remy finished out the scoring with a beautiful unassisted goal from his corner kick. It was a fantastic day to watch all 18 seniors finish their careers on the new turf field, winning easily 5-0 v. Everett.
