It was a big day for the Cougars at the Michigan Catholic Invite held at St. Francis Retreat Center on Saturday, August 26.

The boys team won for the 4th straight year and 5th time ever. The boys have now won the meet more than any other school.

The girls team captured the first Bishops Cup ever for the program after losing in a tiebreaker to Divine Child last year.

Olivia Theis (12) set another meet record finishing first in 17:58.  Olivia, Jaden Theis (10) and Lauren Cleary (11) finished 1-2-3 with :59 lapsing before the next runner crossed the finish line.

In the JV race, the girls placed 1st and the boys were runners up. Elaina Phelps (11) finished 2nd overall in the JV race.

The day ended with all teams participating in an outdoor mass.

The team next competes at the Marauder Invite at Uncle John’s Cider Mill on Wednesday, September 6.
