The Cougar Soccer team did not let the torrential downpour effect their play against the Battle Creek Pennfield Panthers Tuesday evening. The team held their own against an evenly matched competitor ending the first half with a 0-0 score. The Cougars came out the second half with renewed focus and determination. Shannon Crilley scored the teams first goal on a penalty kick. With an assist from Claire Smalley Shannon scored goal number two. The final goal of the game is scored when Shannon raced in from the half-line to go one-on-one with the Panther keeper. With her hat-trick, Shannon moves into 11th place for goal scoring this season in Division 2 girls soccer! Final score 3-0. Great game Cougars! Cheer on the team Thursday when they play Lake Odessa Lakewood at 5:30 on the LCHS field.
