Four Shut-Outs in a Row For Cougars Varsity Soccer!

The girls varsity soccer team beat the Waverly Warriors on Saturday 4-0. With assists from Kyra Wieber, Katie Burns and Tori Sailar, Shannon Crilley scored 3 goals! Abigail Gilmore also scored with an assist from Kyra Wieber Goal keeper Larisa Hurdis had 2 saves.

Monday afternoon the team earned their fourth shut-out by beating the Fowlerville Gladiators 4-0. Goal keeper Larisa Hurdis had 3 saves. Shannon Crilley scored on a penalty kick and with an assist from Tori Sailar. Katie Burns received a pass from Keighen Morley, which allowed her to score on a breakaway. Abigail Gilmore earned the final goal of the game. Defenders Jessie Plaehn & Keighen Morley were able to take shots on the net while Christina Kuhnmuench, Sophie Collard and Amy Heller took turns covering the back field.

The Cougars are now 4-3-1. They play in Ionia on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 5:30.
